Help us improve Melvyl

The UC Libraries are trying to get a better understanding of how people use Melvyl, and we need your help!

We are looking for UC Berkeley juniors, seniors, and graduate students, who would like to show us how you use the Melvyl system.  If you use Melvyl for your academic work, we’re interested in speaking with you.

These sessions will take place on Thursday, April 26 in Moffitt Library.  In exchange for about an hour of your time, we’ll give you a $25 gift certificate to the Cal Student Store.

The library will be selling duplicate and superseded maps and books for $1 each at Doe Library on Cal Day, Saturday, April 21, 2012. Don’t miss these special sales.

Thousands of mostly hardbound books from private collections will be on sale, covering virtually every subject collected by the library

Trial: Aluka

A trial for Aluka is now available through May 7. Offered by JSTOR, this online digital library of scholarly resources from and about Africa includes the following collections which are currently under development: African Cultural Heritage Sites and Landscapes and Struggles for Freedom in Southern Africa. New materials are added to the collections on an ongoing basis.
