A new exhibit in the Doe Library Brown Gallery celebrates the intellectual contributions, global impact and legacy of UC Berkeley’s unique program in Buddhist Studies.
The exhibit features publications of alumni and faculty, Berkeley’s manuscript collections, Buddhist canonical materials in a variety of languages (Sanskrit, Pali, Tibetan, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese), Mongolian texts, Dunhuang manuscript canons, The Tipitaka, an edition of the Pali given by King Chulalongkorn of Siam, and more.
Come learn about the evolution of Buddhist studies scholarship at Berkeley and gain some insight into the history of Buddhism.
