No one enjoys punctuating and formatting endless lines of text, and long lists of sources can get unwieldy. But the process doesn’t have to be painful. All you need is a strategy. Check out the workshops on citation management happening on Thursday, February 26.
Librarian Jeffery Loo will give students a brief introduction to how using free online tools like EndNote, Zotero, Evernote and Mendeley can make the research process go more smoothly. Show up in the Engineering Library at 11am for the Citation Management and Productivity Tools workshop.
The D-Lab will host another workshop that day at noon in Barrows Hall. Reference Management with Zotero will focus on Zotero, a powerful open-source reference management tool. Librarian David Eifler will demonstrate key Zotero features such as importing and creating new references, managing references, inserting citations into a manuscript, and formatting bibliographies. The demonstration will be followed by a question and answer session.
