Every summer, the Library and the Office of Educational Development send new freshmen a list of recommended books. This isn’t required reading, but rather a great list of titles suggested by faculty and staff as a way of welcoming incoming students to the intellectual life of the university.
This year’s theme is “Social Media”. The list includes books and articles that provide social commentary, insight into the power of social networks, and fictional explorations of where this technology is taking us.
In keeping with the theme, we’ve posted each of the selections on Moffitt Library’s Facebook site, where you can see what others think of these works and leave your own comments.
