Rafaela Castro, former Ethnic Studies Librarian at UC Davis, will be giving a reading and book signing at Berkeley's Ethnic Studies Library, 30 Stephens Hall, on Wednesday, March 21 at 5:30pm. All are welcome.
Her new book, "Provocaciones: Letters from the Prettiest Girl in Arvin," is about her life and her family and her experiences in the Peace Corps. Her insights into the dynamics of her Chicano family are enlightening and fascinating. Rafaela is also the author of the "Dictionary of Chicano Folklore."
Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Lillian Castillo-Speed at csl@library.berkeley.edu.
