Media Resources Center offering limited services during closure for flood repairs

UC Berkeley’s Media Resources Center is offering limited services during its closure for flood repairs.

While the Media Resources Center — or MRC, located on the first floor of Moffitt Library — is closed, it will offer temporary services out of the Newspapers & Microforms Library, in Doe Library, through at least Feb. 15.

UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff will need to arrange access to MRC items in advance by emailing avmccirc@library.berkeley.edu. Requests will take one business day to fulfill. In some cases, streaming versions may be available immediately. (For details, check the streaming guide.)

MRC is the UC Berkeley Library’s primary collection of audiovisual materials, including DVDs, CDs, and streamed audio and video.

Flooding, caused by heavy rains, forced the evacuation and closure of Moffitt’s first floor in late November. Moffitt’s remaining floors were unaffected.
