This month, the Bancroft Library Roundtable will feature numerous books and journals on photography from the collection of Chicago-based philanthropists Reva and David Logan.
Acquired by the Bancroft Library in 2013, the collection is called, “Highlights and Shadows: Books on Photography from the Reva and David Logan Collection.”
Christine Hult-Lewis, the Reva and David Logan Curatorial Assistant at The Bancroft Library, will discuss highlights from the history of photography, from significant early books by 19th-century photographers Eadweard Muybridge, Thomas Annan, and P. H. Emerson to more familiar classics by Ansel Adams, Margaret Bourke-White, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank, and many others.
