Story Hour in the Library: Julia Scheeres

Story Hour will feature author, Julia Scheeres, on Thursday, November 12th at 5:00pm.

Story Hour in the Library is a monthly prose reading series held in UC Berkeley’s Morrison Library.

Julia Scheeres’ first book Jesus Land – a memoir about growing up in a rigid Christian environment with an adopted black brother – was a New York Times and London Times bestseller. Her second book, A Thousand Lives: The Untold Story of Jonestown, was named a best book of the year by several papers, and won the Northern California Independent Booksellers’ “Nonfiction Book of the Year” Award in 2012. She lives in Berkeley, CA with her husband and two daughters, and works at the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto.

If you purchase the book ahead of time, bring it to be signed. Julia will also be selling her book for $10.
