The Ethnic Studies Library is hosting an exhibit of art posters by Julio Salgado. Stop by to appreciate how the vivid colors and powerful messages in the posters explode from the bright blue walls. Salgado is the co-founder of Dreamers Adrift, a creative project about, for, and by undocumented youth. Salgado’s status as an undocumented, queer “artivist” has fueled the contents of his visual art. He is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a degree in journalism.
One of Salgado’s latest projects about storytelling and migration was the subject of an article in a the August 12th issue of the East Bay Express.
The poster exhibit will be up in the Ethnic Studies Library, 30 Stephens Hall, until late September.
