Please join us in welcoming to Access Services Division Jenna Jackson as the Library Privileges Desk Operations Manager.
Jenna started as a student employee for the Art History/Classics Library in 2011 where she developed and honed her public service skills. One of the special projects given to her during her time as a student employee was coordinating the movement of print materials from various sections of the library in preparation for major roof repair to the building.
After graduating with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in education and human rights, Jenna was hired in 2012 as a temporary Circulation Library Assistant at the Environmental Design Library. In that role she was responsible for completing an inventory of the entire collection. After the Circulation Supervisor left to take a position at another institution, Jenna stepped in as interim work-leader and supervisor to the student employees.
In 2013, Jenna was hired in Access Services Division as a career library assistant splitting her time between Privileges and the Stacks units. In this position, Jenna took the initiative to design a carrel reservation system in Google Drive, as well as learning more about the automatic patron record loads. She also worked on the move and integration of the collections from Business and Moffitt libraries into Gardner Stacks.
In her new assignment, Jenna will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of borrowing privileges for library cardholders.
