The NCBI Discovery Workshop, four 2.5-hour hands-on training sessions emphasizing NCBI resources such as BLAST and Nucleotide, will be presented by Peter Cooper of the National Center for Biotechnology Information. These will be held at UC Berkeley on Wednesday, September 17 and Thursday, September 18, 2014:
- Session 1: Navigating NCBI Molecular Data Through the Integrated Entrez System. Wed. Sept. 17, 9 am – 11:30 am
- Session 2: NCBI Genomes, Assemblies and Annotation Products: Microbes to Human. Wed. Sept. 17, 1 pm – 3:30 pm
- Session 3: Advanced NCBI BLAST. Thurs. Sept. 18, 9 am – 11:30 am
- Session 4: Gene Expression Resources at NCBI. Thurs. Sept. 18, 1 pm – 3:30 pm
Participants may register for all or for selected sessions on the NCBI Discovery Workshop signup form.
The sessions will be held in a location on the UC Berkeley campus to be announced; please plan to bring your own laptop.
