Keeping up with the NIH – here’s how:
The Research Advocate blog (News from UCB’s Research Administration and Compliance Office) has a recent posting about keeping current with NIH news related to grants policy, funding programs, compliance, and electronic research administration.
- The NIH Guide, published weekly, is the official publication for research grant policies, guidelines, and funding opportunities. Readers may subscribe to a weekly email listserv of the Table of Contents or an RSS feed of NIH Funding Opportunities.
- The NIH Extramural Nexus is a monthly newsletter update from OER.
- The OER web page has a News & Events section.
- NIH offers a listserv for updates on electronic submission and eRA Commons News.

Disaster Recovery and Environmental Health
Here you can find links to information from FEMA, the American Red Cross, US DHHS, and the CDC among others. There are links to information on emergency responders, hospitals, cleanup safety, chemical emergencies and epidemiologic surveillance among much more. There are a few pre-done PubMed searches including ones for disasters and hazardous chemicals, disasters and waster management and molds and mildew.
