Library introduces mobile website

Need to search the library catalog or find out how late we’re open, but there’s no computer available?  You can now do these things and more on a smartphone or small tablet.

The UC Berkeley Libraries’ new mobile website, located at mobile.lib.berkeley.edu, is designed to display clearly on small screens.

It lets you search OskiCat, look up today’s and tomorrow’s hours for campus libraries, ask us a question, get contact information for major library units and subject specialists, find library locations on a campus map, and check our events calendar.

The mobile site has been tested on iPhones, Android phones, iPads, and other devices.  If you notice a problem or have a suggestion, please let us know.

Users of most smartphones and tablet devices who go to our regular homepage URL, www.lib.berkeley.edu, will now see a page that gives a choice between the mobile and full websites.

This development is part of a larger project to develop a campuswide mobile website.
