Academic Search Complete is an excellent database for finding articles on a wide range of subjects in more than 10,900 journals and other publications dating from 1865 to the present. Many of the journals covered are peer-reviewed, with an option to search only those titles.
The database contains full text of over 5,300 journals, with links to HTML and PDF formats. In addition, a UC-eLinks button appears next to each item in your search results, to help you find the text either online or in the library.
Subjects found in Academic Search Complete include African American studies, animal science, anthropology, area studies, astronomy, biology, chemistry, civil engineering, electrical engineering, ethnic & multicultural studies, food science & technology, general science, geography, geology, history, law, literature, materials science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, music, pharmaceutical sciences, physics, psychology, religion & theology, sociology, veterinary science, women's studies, zoology, and many other fields.
Languages represented include English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese.
Academic Search Complete is being phased in as a replacement for Expanded Academic ASAP, which will be taken out of service in the UC libraries on June 30.
