New Resource: DynaMed Plus
DynaMed Plus is an evidence-based clinical reference tool. Use it to find the latest evidence-based information in almost two dozen content areas including allergy, dermatology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, neurology, obstetrics, oncology, sport medicine, and more. Updated daily, DynaMed Plus content is written by physicians and researchers.
Features include:
- Topic overviews and recommendations based on the most current evidence
- Guidelines from prominent organizations (e.g., American Academy of Pediatrics, American Diabetes Association, American Optometric Association)

De Gruyter and Princeton Mathematics eBook Collection
The Library recently purchased the De Gruyter and Princeton Mathematics eBook Collection. This collection consists of titles from nine well-known series published by Princeton University Press and De Gruyter – including books from the very respected series Annals of Mathematics Studies back to 1940! These series include highly-cited works from influential mathematicians such as Church, Halmos, Milnor, Polya, and Weyl, among many others.
The nine series are:

The Library is hosting two back-to-back workshops on September 28 to provide tips on using this large abstract and citation database covering the peer-reviewed literature across disciplines.
Advanced Literature Searching with Scopus

Want to improve your literature searching and save yourself time? This workshop will cover advanced searching with Scopus, a large abstract and citation database covering the peer-reviewed literature: scholarly journals, books, and conference proceedings. The database covers publications in science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Come learn useful tips and techniques for finding relevant publications for your literature reviews.
Scopus Tools for Assessing Research Impact

This workshop will cover tools and techniques available in the citation database Scopus for maximizing and assessing your research impact. Topics to be covered include: citation analysis for authors, comparing journals with CiteScore, linking your Scopus Author ID to your ORCID ID, and using PlumX metrics in Scopus.
We encourage you to register online for these workshops but drop-ins will also be welcome as space allows.
CRCnetBASE: Online Science Books
Have you ever wished you could look up something in a scientific book when you are studying at home? If so, CRCnetBASE is the answer!
This online collection of books includes the following topics:

You can search across all books, browse books by subject, and download the pdfs of chapters. All the books can be found searching OskiCat as well.
Research Tools Fair, Feb 17
Want to learn about tools to help you be more effective with research, writing, and citation management in the sciences? Join us for our first ever Research Tools Fair on Friday, February 17!
The Fair will consist of brief product demos in the morning followed by drop-in Q&A with vendors in the afternoon. The Fair is open to all but geared toward faculty and students in the physical sciences & engineering. Please drop by for any part of the day that interests you. Coffee & soft drinks will be provided.

CINAHL Database
Check out our new database, CINAHL!
CINAHL covers a wide range of topics, such as nursing, biomedicine, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health, and 17 allied health disciplines.
Content includes journal articles, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, audiovisuals, book chapters, legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, research instruments, and clinical trials.
Nature journals downtime
Due to scheduled maintenance, the Nature Journals site will be unavailable from 11:00pm on Friday, July 15 to 3:00am on Saturday, July 16.
Extended hours for RRR and Finals weeks
Moffitt 24-Hour Study Hall: For spring 2016, the Moffitt Library and Gardner (Main) Stacks will remain open for a 24-hour study hall beginning at 8 am on Monday, May 2 and ending at 10 pm on Friday, May 13. The Moffitt Computer Facility and the Free Speech Movement Café will also be open round the clock for that period.
Doe Library Extended Hours: Doe Library hours will be extended as well:
- Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 6: 8 am – midnight
- Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8: 9 am – 9 pm
- Monday, May 9 through Thursday, May 12: 8 am – midnight
- Friday, May 13: 8 am – 9 pm
Engineering Library Extended Hours: In addition, the Engineering Library will have additional hours for the weekend between RRR week and Finals:
- Monday, May 2 through Thursday, May 5: 9 am – midnight
- Friday, May 6: 9 am – 11 pm

This sale will take place in Room 132 Doe, the site of the Library’s old bookstore. Though other books may be visible, only the designated Math and Science volumes are available in this sale.
This special sale is in addition to our standard Cal Day sale (in all subjects) which will be held in 303 Doe on April 16.

ProQuest will be unavailable for up to 8 hours starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 due to scheduled maintenance. RefWorks will also be unavailable at that time.
