Healthy People 2020

Healthy People is a statement of national health objectives designed to identify the most significant preventable threats to health and to establish national goals to reduce these threats. The Healthy People objectives are set every ten years by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as health goals for the Nation for the decade ahead. Healthy People 2020 focuses on 39 topic areas, each of which has an overview, objectives, and interventions and resources detailed on this web site. Data.ca.gov

“Data.ca.gov was designed to provide a single source of raw data in the state. The centralized data repository allows the public to find, use, and repackage the volumes of data generated by the State. The data is provided in a variety of formats including CSV, XLS, KML, TXT, and XML.” A listing of the State Data Files includes the data type, description and format for each. Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance (ABLES) Interactive Database (NIOSH)

The ABLES data tracks elevated blood lead levels as reported by 40 states since 1994. This interactive web site allows users to create custom data products from this information for 2002-2008. NLM Catalog and PubMed Journals Database Merge

The PubMed Journals Database has merged with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) Catalog. The NLM Catalog has also been redesigned to provide users with a streamlined interface, and enhanced search and display of the 1.4 million bibliographic records in the NLM database. The NLM Catalog contains detailed MEDLINE indexing information about the journals in PubMed and other National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) databases.
