UT Austin has decided to terminate direct-to-patron lending through RLCP
, in favor of having requests come through normal interlibrary loan channels. Going forward, Berkeley patrons trying to request from UT Austin via the RLCP web page will be directed to our Interlibrary Borrowing Service
UTA material requests made through the Interlibrary Borrowing Service will be available for pickup at the IBS desk in 133 Doe Library (not at Main Circulation). The initial loan period will be two months, with the possibility of renewal.
Please note that the on-site visits and in-person checkouts that have been part of the RLCP relationship are not affected by this change. Our relationship with our other RLCP partner, Stanford, remains unchanged.
Wonder what parts of your collections are being requested by Stanford? Spreadsheets of what Stanford requested of us for 2008/09 are now available.
Collections Development –> Tools –> Assessment –>Interlibrary Borrowing/Lending (scroll down to “Berkeley Lending via RLCP”)
Statistics and details of what Berkeley patrons requested from Stanford are being compiled, and will be announced here when they are available.
