Proud of that research project you just finished?  Let the world know!  Apply for a library research prize and tell us how you did it. Research projects from all disciplines in written and digital formats are welcome.

The library recognizes up to 6 undergraduate students each year with cash awards of $750 to $1000 through the Charlene Conrad Liebau Library Prize for Undergraduate Research. We also honor the winners during a reception at the Morrison Library in May.

We’re looking for undergraduate research that shows significant inquiry using library resources and demonstrates your learning process while conducting research.

The application process in a nutshell:

  • write an essay about your research process
  • provide a bibliography
  • include a letter of support from your professor
  • submit a written or digital version of your project

Research projects must have been for a credit course at UC Berkeley during the Summer or Fall of 2015 or in the Spring 2016 semester. For lower division students, projects done in Spring 2015 are also eligible

The submission period is open now and closes on April 14, 2016.
