Welcoming Jean Ferguson

Jean Ferguson has joined the UC Berkeley Library community as our new Learning & Research Communities Librarian. In response to the need for a creative, user-oriented librarian to develop, design and implement forward-looking physical and virtual learning environments, Jean will work closely with the campus community to work on new programs and spaces for the future Moffitt Library, such as the development of a new digital literacy program.

Ferguson’s extensive list of experiences include the Coordinator of Virtual Reference, Liaison to the Duke Global Health Institute, and Head of Research and Instructional Services at Duke University Libraries. Additionally, she has experience as a project manager and a trainer in industry and higher education environments. Ferguson has a BA in Political Science from Augustana College, an MS in Information and Communication Sciences from Ball State University, and an MS in Library Science from University of North Carolina.

Please join us in welcoming Jean!
