ScienceDirect downtime, Feb. 26

Elsevier’s ScienceDirect databases are expected to be offline and unavailable for approximately 12 hours on Saturday February 26 due to scheduled upgrades.  The downtime is expected to begin at 5am and will be completed by 5pm.

OCLC downtime, night of Feb. 26-27

Some services provided by OCLC (including FirstSearch databases and ArchiveGrid) will be unavailable during system maintenance  starting at 10pm on Saturday Febuary 26.  Service will be restored between 3am and 8am on Sunday February 27 .

This outage does not include the Next Generation Melvyl catalog, though book cover art will not display during this period.

You can make appointments online for 30-minute sessions with our library research specialists. We can help you focus your project, find the best information sources, and use them efficiently.

This semester, the service operates from 11am-5pm (last appointment at 4:30), on weekdays through Friday April 29.  Sessions take place in the Reference Center, 2nd floor of Doe Library.

Trial: World Religion Database

The World Religion Database (WRD) contains detailed statistics on religious affiliation for every country of the world. It provides source material, including censuses and surveys, as well as best estimates for every religion to offer a definitive picture of international religious demography. It offers best estimates at multiple dates for each of the world’s religions for the period 1900 to 2050.
